Now, that's kind of a funky name or it's a cumbersome number, so we use domain names to identify the space you are renting. Also, most of the time, you'll be sharing your webspace, so hosting companies use domain names to set your account apart from other people's webspace.
How Do I Get A Domain?When you sign up for Web Hosting, most times, they offer a free domain registration for the first year as a promotion. After that, you'd probably be charged along with your web hosting.If you don't have a need for a stand-alone website, but just need a small blog, a Splash Page, or want to redirect your domain to your shopping cart or etsy account, you can purchase your domain through a company like GoDaddy.com. From there, you can redirect your domain to your webspace.
